Tamiya DT02 Holiday Buggy
This is my Holiday Buggy which has been raced at the DT Challenge on a few occasions. Again, modifications are limited for the DT02 class but hopefully this might be a useful guide to some of you.
Wheels
Not much to go for here, we had to use stock Holiday Buggy tyres and rims. In fairness, they did not handle too badly on the track as our speeds were limited due to having to use the race motor.
Shocks
Can’t see them here, but my car here initially had the 3Racing shocks which worked quite well. I later had them changed to the Tamiya TRF shocks as I had a set available.
Other Mods
Gearing we could only use the Tamiya pinions so there wasn’t a lot of choice in that department. Electrics, it was the brushed Sport Tuned motor for the Holiday Buggy class which was plenty fast enough given the shortcomings of the Holiday Buggy platform. The roof on my shell was totally destroyed after a few events so now it’s been turned into an open top car with an anti roll bar.
