Mardave Cobra
Here is an old school Mardave Cobra 2wd buggy. This is an original from back in the day and as a result shows signs of wear and tear. Back then, these buggies were extremely popular as they were pocket money racers. The parts like arms cost around £1 back then which made it very affordable for people to race with. Technically, they were nowhere near as advanced as some of the other big manufacturers but again, in the right hands, this car proved to be a very potent racer. Even today, the Cobra holds its own in the vintage races against cars of higher racing pedigree.
The Cobra was recently re-released in two flavours. The original spec which was basically the car you see here as it was back then and also an improved version called the Mardave Cobra Evo. The Evo included big bore shocks, improved gearbox, carbon parts just to name a few. The aim was to allow the Evo to compete maybe with the modern racers at clubs.
