The Traxxas Bandit is a staple car amongst bashers in the USA. The versatile chassis is shared amongst a few of the Traxxas 2wd cars such as the Slash and Rustler. It’s a simple and tough chassis with strong flexible plastics. The chassis design hasn’t changed much from it’s vintage beginnings and it’s still quite a popular bashers choice.
The Bandit comes as a full RTR, with electrics, battery and charger so literally, you can take it out of the box, charge the battery and away you go. There is no kit version of the car.
It could be made into a racer but I think it’s better served and makes more sense as a basher. However, I’ve seen a few cars where people have put a wheelie bar on the back and turned the Bandit into a drag car,  with the tough gearbox seemingly able to take on high powered motors.
